Hello all,
 

I grew up in Chicago during the turbulent times of the 60's and 70's. After I married my wife, Cathy, we moved to the near north suburb of Niles where we raised our daughter, Mary. 
 

I spent several years in the IT field, working for a number of companies (sometimes not by choice), as a programmer, analyst, system designer, and department manager.

 

Though I paid the bills, systems work was never my passion. Cathy and I had what my daughter called, our own little vaudeville career. One or the other of us, and many times both, spent our years performing in a local productions of book shows such as The Music Man, My Fair Lady, Carousel, Little Shop of Horrors, Guys and Dolls, Funny Girl, 1776, Gigi, and others. We also produced and performed in several juke box shows for our local church. 

Along the way, I became a trustee for our district's library and eventually served as the president of the board. 

After I retired, we moved further west to a small town called Pingree Grove, where I wrote my first non-fiction book, Write a Song Now! With Your Ukulele, and am pursing writing stories of characters who live in the fictional town of Sandy Shore which I created for one of my songs.
